Buggering about with phones

MP3 ringtones are a joy and a horror. A horror because of the endless blaring of Cantopop warbling that you end up surrounded by, but then again, you get to inflict your own brand of music on other people.

Having recently got my phone fixed - I say fixed, they gave it back to me saying "we replaced the main body", so really all that remains of my original phone is the battery cover - I have been messing around making ringtones from MP3s in my collection.

In Beijing, I had a ringtone which was a sample from Seventeen by Ladytron, but I have now outdone this by using the opening sequence from the KLF's 3am (Eternal), minus the bit that goes "this is Radio Freedom".

I realised that the beepy bit would be ideal for a shorter tone, so my text message notifier is now the KLF signature "beep boop... boop beep" - you know the one, or you would if you heard it.

Ah, fun and games.
