I am moving to Hong KongYes, Hong Kong! Where you can smell the sea, where the government doesn't try to stop you from reading Wikipedia and where people drive on the left as God intended!
I'm not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, I've finally got a good, non-fixed term contract, full-time job - and with a company I'd actually heard of before I read the job advert. On the other, it means I have to leave my fiancee behind in Beijing and I don't really know how often I'll be able to visit. I'm also a bit nervous about whether I'll be up to doing a good job, and finding a flat is going to be a real hassle, as HK is just more expensive than Beijing.
Still, this is kind of what I need to do. It's sadly true that, yes, you do need some money to get married, and at the moment I never have any spare money to put into savings at the end of each month.
