What A Bloody Send-Off

Well, the 5678s gig I was meant to go to fell through, leaving me seething with jealousy at Stephen O'Brien and just generally seething at that unreliable Japanese trio. Oh, well. It could be worse. I could get burgled.

Wait. We did get burgled. Among other things, we lost Ad's MP3 player and PS2, my laptop (thankfully backed up) and all the bits on my desk, like my wallet. This was annoying. I use my driving licence as ID. I need that credit card to pick up my boarding pass at Heathrow in two weeks. And I needed that loose change to buy a bus ticket and some milk.

I mean, seriously. Who steals £1.78 in change?

Anyway, I've moved all my stuff back home and am now trying to wedge everything I own into a mch smaller room than the one I had in Brixton. The contract runs out tomorrow, so I'm going to go down to help argue with the landlord about how much of our deposit we should get back.

In the meantime, I need to buy a new wallet. Where do you buy wallets from?

On the happy side of things, we did get our fingerprints taken for elimination purposes (exciting), and... the thief or thieves stole some alcohol - a bottle of wine and our bottle of Unicum. Unicum is a foul Hungarian liqueur that Adam and Paul brought back from holiday that has an aftertaste like ashes. We can take some satisfaction in imagining their faces when they try it.
