The Haul

My essay isn't getting anywhere, and the Elvis impersonators' Weakest Link is boring, so let's talk about what I got for Christmas.

Grandpa gave James and I £20 each to spend on CDs, and we found a three-for-£21 deal at a shop in Bridport. I got Eric Clapton's Slowhand, Steely Dan's Pretzel Logic and Paul Simon's There Goes Rhymin' Simon. I can't remember what James got - I think one of them was a Black Sabbath album.

James bought me CDs as well - Flying In A Blue Dream by Joe Satriani, and Passion & Warfare by Steve Vai. Both are excellent, though I think Steve Vai just edges ahead.

Mum got me the Back To The Future trilogy on DVD. This was kind of funny, because I got her and James the BTTF trilogy on VHS. Great minds, and all that.
Max & Rosie sent a hamper. Mum gave James and I jumpers, too (well, someone has to). Sean gave me a graphic novel called Tozzer and The Invisible Lap Dancers, which is a freakish melange of Harry Potter, Hollywood and cheese-influenced dreams.

That's enough of that.
