Revisey Sunday

Had a nice evening last night, mooching out in the courtyard with most of the population of Dinwiddy House. This morning, Tim de Laughter of the Polyphonic Spree was on the box, being interviewed by some Channel 4 yoof presenter. For some reason, the venue for this interview was the Starburger place on Chapel Market.

After church today, I did some more work for Readings in Modern Chinese, then bought some books -- picked up The Man In The Iron Mask and a collection of M.R. James' ghost stories for £1.25 each. Good old Penguin Classics, eh? Of course, one might reasonably wonder why I'm buying more books when I have a whole load I've yet to read, which I've had for several months now, and All Tomorrow's Parties and Pattern Recognition should be here tomorrow, courtesy of the Amazon voucher I got for my birthday. I just seem to have some kind of book-buying compulsion. It's like an illness, really.
