It Keeps The Wolf From The Door

I got an interesting email out of the blue yesterday, talking about the Siena Piano (look it up), an instrument reputedly made in the 1800s out of wood from King Solomon's Temple. This guy, who's tracking the piano down for a music publisher, tells me that it was actually built in the 1950s some time, sort of as a publicity stunt.

Yeah, that's right. He emailed me to tell me this. No provocation whatsoever. It's cool, but a little odd.

I've stumbled into a musical version of The Ninth Gate - but I don't appear to be in the Johnny Depp role, so I should be okay. That said, if I start hanging around Portugal in the company of a mysterious blonde girl, try to get me to snap out of it, right?
